This seminar will be a timely opportunity to discuss the next steps for health research in England - looking at funding, regulation and policy.

Planned sessions will consider priorities for utilising Government funding for NHS health research to tackle the pressures of an ageing population, and the next steps for overcoming challenges for translating research into treatments.

Delegates will discuss the progress of the new Life Sciences Council in delivering the Life Sciences Sector deal and their role in promoting the application of healthcare research - as well as the key issues for collaboration and the regulation of clinical trials following Brexit.

They will also assess the impact of the Industrial Strategy Challenge Fund and the leading-edge healthcare challenge in supporting research and innovation, and establishing new facilities to accelerate the development of medicines - with Government recently awarding £17m to projects looking to revolutionise healthcare and making a further £9m available for research into new digital technologies.
